Opening Countdown · Pocket Rocket Design

Open to a crowd, not an empty room.

A seven-week run of social posts that builds anticipation before you open. Written, designed and scheduled in advance, and finished on opening day.

Sound familiar?

Opening week is too late to start.

Most new businesses are too busy with the fit-out to post, so nobody knows the doors are about to open.

We open next month and nobody knows.

The brand is done, the shop is nearly ready, and your social pages are empty.

We are too busy to post.

The fit-out, the suppliers and the paperwork come first, so the posting never happens.

We posted twice, then stopped.

Posting with no plan runs out of ideas by week two.

Quotedmonthly, to suit

Opening day is the start, not the finish. The care plan keeps the posts and the website current once you are open.

  • Monthly site and product changes
  • Priced once we know how much you want to hand over

Best for: keeping the momentum after launch.

Any advertising spend is separate, optional, and paid by you directly to Meta. I do not promise followers or sales: I build the anticipation and the content, and results depend on your audience, your location and what you can show.

The seven weeks

Tease, build, anticipate, open.

Weeks 1 and 2: Tease

The brand reveal, the story behind the name, the opening date, and why the owner started.

Weeks 3 and 4: Build

Fit-out behind the scenes, meet the owner, what to expect, and sneak peeks.

Weeks 5 and 6: Anticipate

The countdown, a founding-customer offer or wait list, how it works, and the common questions.

Week 7: Open

Opening day, a thank-you to the first customers, and what comes next.

The order it happens in

Brand first. Then the page. Then the countdown.

Each step builds on the one before, so nothing has to be redone.

  1. Brand

Your logo, colours and fonts, with guidelines. Everything after this is built from it, so it comes first.

  2. A one-page website

A Coming Soon page, set up on the platform your full site will grow on, so the address and search settings carry over.

  3. The countdown

Seven weeks of posts before you open, pointing people to the page and your Google profile.

  4. The full website

The one-page site grows into the full site, built on what the first weeks of traffic show.

What I need from you

Four things, and they are small.

Photos and short clips

Taken on your phone, into one shared folder. I send a short shot list so you know what is useful.

A 30 minute interview

Before the countdown starts, so the posts sound like you.

One person to approve

One named contact approves each week by email, in one consolidated reply. Nothing posts without sign-off.

Access you control

I am added as a partner on your Meta and Google accounts. You own them, and can remove me at any time.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Do I need a brand first?

Yes. The posts are built from your logo, colours and fonts. If you do not have brand guidelines yet, start with the Brand guidelines package and add the countdown after it.

When should it start?

Seven weeks before your opening date. Book it as soon as you have a date, and I will plan the week by week schedule back from it.

What if my opening date moves?

The posts are scheduled in a rolling window, so dates move with it. Tell me as soon as you know.

Which platforms are covered?

Facebook and Instagram, plus Google Business Profile in the full countdown. Other platforms are quoted separately.

Can I buy it without the website?

Yes. The countdown works on its own, with the posts pointing to a sign-up link. It works best with a Coming Soon page behind it.
