Gut Cancer Foundation
A national charity supporting New Zealanders affected by gut cancers. We rescued the logo, wrote the brand guidelines and built the website, then kept going: brochures, annual reports, Mediboards for medical centres and a full Care Kit.
The website
Help, found quickly, in two languages.
Bilingual English and te reo Māori navigation runs through the site, with clear donate calls to action throughout. Rotating hero imagery draws on Aotearoa: fern, kōwhai, coastline and raranga.
The site also carries the Foundation's online store, where people can order printed guides for each cancer type.
On mobile
Built for the phone in your hand.
Most visitors arrive on a phone, often from a waiting room. Every page is laid out for small screens first.

The logo and brand guides
A logo rescued, then a brand built around it.
Gut Cancer Foundation started life as GICI, the Gastro-Intestinal Cancer Institute. The Foundation's logo was drawn by someone else, so it had to be rescued. We created a simplified version and the round button version, then reverse engineered the brand guidelines from them.
Once the brand had settled into what it is now and the guidelines were in place, the logos followed: a full suite with a hero logo, a reduced version, the button, and event buttons for Love Yer Guts, Gastrofest, Give It Up and Fun Run, each with its own colour. The guidelines also cover type, tone of voice and examples in print, web and clothing.
More for Gut Cancer Foundation
The whole brand, looked after.
The Foundation's new Patient Support Service is for anyone affected by cancers of the upper digestive system, whether they are worried about symptoms, calling to help a loved one or need support after treatment. We have designed its brochure, postcard and poster, alongside Mediboards, reports and the Care Kit. There is more work to come in this area.
